My batteries restore your wheelchair, but this Home Pulse Oximeter may save your life
A few years ago I bought my wife one of these instruments. She is a Registered Nurse and her instrument cost more than $500.
Time and again, she told me of using it to check out patients and was able to turn many people around by recognizing the blood oxygen level.
So what is a Pulse Oximeter?
It is a low cost instrument than measures blood oxygen level and Pulse rate. Our Oximeter clips on to your finger tip and does not puncture the skin. Chances are you have had this done at the doctors office.
Who can get good use of this tool?
Anyone with a breathing disorder such as asthma or COPD. If you are a caregiver, this can be as valuable as your stethoscope or blood pressure cuff.
What does it measure?
Percent of Blood Oxygen. Mine tonight is 96%. If it changes downward over time, the knowledge of this change can lead me to call my doctor.
It also provides a quick way to check pulse. I can never feel mine, and I cannot see to use a watch. This tool has a large LCD readout and I can read it.
This is powered by 2 AAA batteries and they are included. The unit will operate 100 hours on a set of batteries, and it automaticlly shuts off after it is not reading a pulse to save batteries.
By all means, please call with any questions. Jim @ 317-222-1329
